Footprints to Recovery: Finding Common Ground
Addiction is a family disease. Not only do individuals with substance use disorder need recovery, but their family members need recovery too. While the recovery process is not the same for the two groups, there are similarities. Recognizing the parallels can help the two groups find common ground.
Jacalyn Sanders, creator of FAN's Stronger Together Family Recovery Plan, will compare family and peer recovery work and share the benefits of viewing recovery from each other's perspectives. Joy St. Pierre, a family member in recovery, will share her story.
