Description

Phil Alexander of the Otsego County Historical Society will lead us on a walking tour of Gaylord (~16 blocks), focusing on Claude Shannon's life. Shannon was a mathematician and engineer who is known as the "father of information theory." His research laid the foundation for modern electronic communications, making today's internet-connected world possible. And he grew up in Gaylord!
